  7th January – 25th March  Sunday sailing and volunteer trainingGeneral sailing sessions, young people 09:30-13:00 Volunteer training and adult sailing 13:30-16:30, subject to demand. Power boat level 2 and Safety Boat training on request. What other Training would you like?  Please let us know1.

24th February  RYA Dinghy Show tripPossible day trip to the New RYA Dinghy and Watersports show in Farnborough, Hampshire Details to be confirmed. Please talk to Mel.
Easter Hols 1st to 5th April  Easter Holidays Cobwebs week 1  Volunteers needed to support RYA stage 1&2 courses for new members, please contact Mel General Club sailing, new skills and race training. More details to be announced soon.

4th to 7th AprilCadet Class Pre Worlds EventWe are hosting a pre Worlds training and regatta event over 4 days this Easter. We will need volunteers to support race management and safety . More details to follow when available. This will be a good training opportunity for those helping with the Worlds event in the summer.
15th April onwardsEvening sailing beginsMonday Racing with HPSC, General sailing & training Tues, Wed, CCF Training on Thurs 17:00-20:30 Please remember to renew your membership and also confirm which evening you would like to sail/volunteer
18th and 19th May TBCBarbican Pirates WeekendAnother opportunity to recruit for the club. Volunteers and shore crew needed to support this fun event. We hope to be doing Hawk sailing tasters. Bring your own costume!
Saturday or Sundays in May/June Dates TBCRYA Push the Boat Out Event Taster sessions  National sailing promotion month. The club, working with MBC are running a series of taster events to enable young people and families to try watersports. PYS is doing the sailing, and hope to recruit new members. More details to follow but volunteers needed to support a number of sailing events these weekends. 
Whitsun  27th to 31st MayHalf Term Holiday ProgrammeVolunteers needed to support RYA stage 1&2 courses for new members, please contact Plus 4 days of sailing, Race training and seamanship skills days for club members.
1st June Start 11.30RNLI River Yealm Passage RaceSail from Jennycliff bay to Newton Ferrers, then sail back in the evening, usually late! Double-handed boats only. Members need to enter themselves on the YYC web site https://yealmyachtclub.co.uk/events/  if they wish to go, before the day of the race. This is always a great event to take part in. As PYS will be running the safety as usual, we will need a strong volunteer team. Contact Adrian for Details.
8th & 9th June    PPSA Regatta And PYS Summer RegattaThe PPSA regatta with a focus on Youth Sailing. This event is open to young people from other clubs as well as ours. We will combine our event with the PPSA again this year and are looking at a possible turn out of over 30 boats. Dinghies available from the club. A number of volunteers will also be required to support our young people and safety cover. This event runs at the same time as the PPSA Regatta and other possible events!
15th June Entry open 1st MarchEddystone Charity pursuit eventThis is a yacht pursuit event. The aim is to raise money for the club. There is a prize fund that if we sail well or raise a lot of sponsorship adds to our money raised. We are looking for people with boats to sail for us. Check the web https://www.eddystonepursuit.com/
22nd JuneArmed Forces DayPromotion day on Plymouth Hoe, to support our Veterans group. Further details will be circulated as soon as we have confirmation.

 20th– 27th JulyNSSA National Youth Regatta Bassenthwaite Lake Sailing ClubPYS are looking forward to taking a team to this year’s event at Bassenthwaite Lake Sailing Club in the Lake District, one of the largest inland lakes in the country.  This is great event for those new to big National Regattas. Sailing is suitable for all levels, from Rookie to Squaddies. The racing runs Mon to Fri and we will all camp at a local school close by. We will support the event in whatever way the organisers request, so will need a number of volunteers.
5th To  30th AugustSummer Holiday Sailing including the PCC Fit and Fed programme.We will be running a number of activity days throughout the holidays for our regular sailors We are also hoping to run a number of stage 1&2 courses for new members during the summer holidays so please keep an eye out for further details. Sail with a friend or family days are also being planned. More details when available. Contact Mel for details.
27th July to 10th AugustCadet Class National and World ChampionshipsThis will be PYS’s first World Championship and we are all very excited about the event. There will be visitors from many other countries across the world, as well as a strong UK contingent. It will run over 2 weeks, with 10 days on the water and a range of social events. We need a full Race Team, Mark Layers, Safety crews and shoreside helpers. Also race office and general event support, so please let Adrian or Mel know if you are able to help
